Just shortly after 3:00am units from Westminster, Gamber, Reese, and Winfield were alerted for a possible house fire in the 2200 Block of Old Washington Rd. Engine 32(Westminster) arrived to find fire on the rear of the building and a car in the driveway. The assignment was upgraded to a house fire with rescue not knowing if anyone was still inside. Lieutenant Brehm from Westminster assumed command and initiated the fire attack along with the search for the residents of the dwelling. Engine 101 was added to the upgraded assignment.
Engine 101 arrived with Chief 10-1(M.Moser) assuming the scene safety officer. Engine 102 was added to the call. Engine 101's crew was assigned secondary search and overhaul. Crews from New Windsor worked for approximately 30 minutes on the scene prior to being released by command.
The Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the incident.
