The New Windsor Lions Club welcomed members of the New Windsor Fire Department and Auxiliary as guests at its October monthly meeting, bringing the organizations together for an evening of fellowship, dinner, and an informative presentation. A barbecue dinner was provided by Lonestar BBQ, giving Fire Department and Auxiliary members an opportunity to enjoy a meal with fellow community volunteers.
The meeting’s special guest was Eriks Gabliks, Superintendent of the United States National Fire Academy. Superintendent Gabliks discussed the academy’s history, its role in the American fire service, and the numerous educational and professional development opportunities it offers fire and emergency services personnel.
The evening provided an opportunity to strengthen the connections between organizations that share a commitment to serving the New Windsor community.
